TOURISM AND RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ON THE FOREST AREAS IN THE FRAME OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CONCEPTION.

Abstract


Recreation andtourism activity were considered as forestuse activities. It was noted that recreationand tourism activity should be provided inthe frame of sustainable development conceptionand corporate social responsibilityconception. And corporate social responsibilitywas considered as a tool to insure sustainableforestry and sustainable recreationand tourism activity on the forest areas. Themain stakeholders to the recreation and tourismactivity of the forestry were described.Tools of mass communications (environmentaladvertising, sales promotion, public relationsand so on) were identified to affecton stakeholders. Components of internaland external corporate social responsibilitywere presented. Advantages of corporatesocial responsibility were noted (increase oflabor efficiency, decrease of staff turnover,improvement of image, increase of selling,improvement of finance indicators, good relationshipswith local authorities).The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)includes supplements for specific sectors aspart of its Reporting Framework. However,there is no such supplement for the forestrysector and for recreation and tourism activityon the forest areas. So further researchesshould be focused on the developing of sustainabilityreporting guidelines for forestryand for recreation and tourism activity onthe forest areas.
