Abstract


The study made it possible to generalizethat training managers of ethnographictourism should be considered in the contextof psychological-pedagogical scienceand aimed at solving important educationalproblems (definition of themethodological foundations of tourismeducation, updating content and teachingsupplies, the organization of varieties ofpractice taking into account ethnic andsocio-cultural peculiarities of the region;providing psychological support duringtraining).Methodological foundations reveal theessence and significance of tourismeducation in modern society. They are thebasis of professional training of tourismindustry managers including ethnographictourism managers in particular, usingindividually oriented approach tolearning.Content and teaching materials providea methodology of psychological andpedagogical activity in training managersof tourism industry. Its updating should bedone on the basis of non-idolization,ethnization, use of interdisciplinary connections,individualization and differentiation,practical and professional focus,focus on self-identity with the use of socioculturalapproach.Vocational training of future managersof tourism should focus on the practicalapproach to create and provide opportunitiesfor students to acquire practicalskills of various kinds of tourism, todesign tours, excursions, and to developstrategies to communicate with staff andsolve professional problems.Regional peculiarities of the tourismindustry, its ethnic and socio-culturalaspects in the professional training oftourism managers promote self-determinationof students, formation of theirnational identity, education in culturaltraditions of the people, understanding thespecifics of the region for effectiveprofessional activity.
