Abstract


This article provides informationоп standards of quality products and servicesexisting in the developed world andtheir adaptation to the state standards ofUkraine. The history and functioning ofthe International Organization for Standardization(ISO), the first European organizationsfor standardization has been revealed.Evolutionary processes of implementationof ISO 9000 and 9001 in Ukrainehave been researched. Advanced standardsthat should be implemented in our countryto integrate Ukraine into the internationalcommunity have been described.Special attention is paid to the systemof food safety management at ISO 4161 or178ISO 22000. It is established that inUkraine there are certain difficulties inmeeting standard requirements of ISO22000 which is being applied parallelwith ISO 4161-2003 standard. The processof implementation of ISO 22000 forenterprises operating a system of foodsafety in accordance with ISO 4161-2003will be easier than for businesses thatstart this work from «zero» because bothstandards are based on HACCP principlesand system management.Certification of quality products andservices and the system of food safetymanagement should be carried out on avoluntary basis to demonstrate its compliancewith regulatory requirements, ensureproduct safety and increase the confidenceof customers, consumers and regulatoryauthorities.
