CONTADICTIONS IN THE AESTHETIC VIEWS IN TRANSCARPATIA IN THE MIDDLE OF THE XXth CENTURY

Abstract


The activity of Transcarpathianartists during the middle of the ХХth centuryand changes in the artistic situationin the region caused by establishment ofthe Soviet totalitarianism are analysed inthe article. Main ways of ideological aggressionas well as demographical andculturological cataclysms are revealed.The creative elevation in the first half ofthe XXth century had fostered a galaxy of painters in Transcarpathia. But the creativeheritage of some painters had lack ofattention from the critics because of theideological and political views in the periodof stagnation in the USSR.In the article the new facts on the heritageof the Transcarpathian artist TiberijJordan in the middle of the XXth centuryare revealed. The analysis of his aestheticimpact on the cultural development in theregion is made.The main aim of the study is todiscover the little known facts on thecreative activity of Transcarpathian painters,describe the heritage of the pedagogueand artist, Tyberii Matvijovich Jordanin terms of his contribution to the TranscarpathianArt School development. Тhegiven research is carried out by means ofa modern scientific approaches in the artcriticism such as objective system analysisof cultural processes.The authors also determine the impactof ideological and aesthetic principles onthe cultural development of the region.
