The article deals with functional properties of recreational environment as an example of using biosphere ecological concepts and ecosystem framework approach for the sustainable development of territorial recreation systems (TRS). In the problem of sustainable development TRS makes sense to study the dynamics of processes in the prism of natural and industrial systems. As natural and industrial systems the author understands the dynamic spatio-temporal complex substances and processes of natural and anthropogenic, through which the exchange of matter and energy occurs in territorial systems, including recreation. The author proposed a hierarchical classification of TRS for their size. TRS, according to the author, is a dynamic aggregate for the purpose of recreation facilities and anthropogenic processes within Geosystems whose activity affects the environment constantly, changes the quantitative and qualitative parameters of Geosystems, and is under the influence of anthropogenic changes. Sustainability of TRS provides an organization of recreational activities in which the territorial geosystem is not beyond homeostasis, and the recreation limited capacity buffer of TRS increases. In this paper the mathematical formalization of sustainable development of TRS is done. Considering it, you can submit the research object definition as follows: territorial recreation system that operates in the environment is a set of objects that are formed from the set of internal elements connected with each other and with the set of environment relations that change in sustainable development in time and space according to the set of functions.
