Abstract


The article outlined the main stages in the development of scientific discourse of the concept «intercultural communication», revealed modern scientific approaches to its understanding. There were defined the basic parameters of the concepts of «culture» as a set of inherited and established norms of the social practice of people, who belong to certain national or ethnic communities. There was uncovered the importance of international tourism as a means of building tolerance and understanding of cultural diversity in the world. There was determined the role of international tourism in shaping the ideological and value orientations, thinking and rethinking of tourists’ values, moral norms. The International tourism motivates not only the knowledge of other cultures, but also makes it possible to understand the proper place in the world. There was uncovered the communication, which prepares, provides, extends and deepens the interaction of societies, ethnic groups, nations, countries. There were made conclusions about the broad scientific discourse of the intercultural communication; on the impact of international tourism on the development of humanistic oriented communication and creating preconditions for coordination the compatible values of large groups of people, dialogue, positive globalization of modern society.
